Kidney Physician

Dr Usman Mahmood is an experienced Australian trained Kidney Specialist (Nephrologist) and completed his medical degree in 2006. He later underwent post-graduate training in various public hospitals across Victoria, Northern Territory and Queensland including Renal Transplant unit at the Princess Alexandra Hospital, Brisbane. He has a range of experience in different areas of Nephrology and General Medicine including both Metropolitan and Indigenous healthcare.

​He is passionate about health and well being of his patients and provide holistic and high standard of care for his clients.

He has authored a number of book chapters and has published in various peer-review journals. He is a current Editor with IntechOpen, world’s leading publisher of open access books. He has recently edited a book titled “Fluid and Electrolyte Disorders” (access available online).

Dr Mahmood can speak four languages and is well equipped to look after patients from sub-continent background. He has active role in the education and training of medical students and junior doctors.
